Deep Cycle with starting battery for trolling...

I have perfectly good Optima Red top battery that I was thinking of tagging on with 2 deep cycles once I attach my trolling motor...

Is this a good or bad Idea?

It is never a good idea to mix different types of batteries.Tolling batteries are flooded lead acid and optimas are absorbent glass mat.They discharge at different rates and levels.

just read the other post about adding batteries and I think I will just buy two new Deep cycles and go from there...I am sure I can find a new owner for the optima...
