Sorry for the late reply. It is pebbles not carpet. I just pull it up on those pebbles. Once I get seats mounted in place I could just cover it and the seat would provide an arch to keep water off the cover, right?

Not without sitting a 2 x something on top of them.

You need to support the middle of the cover (length wise). The wood placed on top of the buckets or seats gives you that needed support and stops water from pooling. It is the same principle of my PVC cover support with the arches and the center line.
