I decided to get the FeatherCraft I asked about last week. Drove an hour to look at it and drug it home. The trailer was set up way wrong so I stopped by my parents house and adjusted it enough to get it home. I put the 15hp in the Yukon till I figure out the transom status.

It is a 1957 Feathercraft Favorite model. I am not going to get carried away with modifications. Want it as original looking as possible. The motor is a long shaft on a short transom.

First boat I ever bought that the trailer lights worked when I picked it up.

Boat has been in his family since it was new. Grandfather to Uncle to the guy I bought it from. Came with the owners manual.

Spent first 20 years on Lake Huron.

Let the adventure begin!

Good looking old hull. Looks like someone made a short transom out of a tall one judging by the lack of a cap over the wood.

I third the motion that it was shortened.... according to the previous owner, the short shaft that was there since the 60s was stolen. He found a long shaft so now I get to build it back up.
