Spent last evening fishing a local Bucks Co., PA lake for Channel Cats (or as we call them, Jackie Chans). About 30 minutes after dark, a local fire department pulled up with all of their trucks to the public boat ramp access point. They spent the next three hours pumping water out of the lake, spraying water into the lake and generally making lost of noise. They were about 1/2 mile away from my spot so the commotions was more of something to look at in the dark then any real bother for the fishing.
As you can see, the fire truck lights made a nice "carnival" type light show for us lonely catfishers sitting beside the lake.
Later, I caught one smaller cat:
Earlier that day, Jake hooked this decent Bass on his "thunder toad" a huge topwater frog that he drags through the thick weeds.
