The old Merc started right off and ran like a top all day. Everything on the boat worked just like it is supposed to. Wife and I were at Salt Fork Lake in eastern Ohio. Water is pretty stained to muddy. Water temps were anywhere between 56 and 62 depending upon depth. Only saw one fish caught all day and that was by a muskie fisherman tossing a big crankbait. He caught about a 4 pound bass. My old boat is a 1987 Bass Tracker TX17 bought new in spring of 87. No leaks and that old 50HP Merc has been a good one. SO, here we sit, waiting on warmer and clearer water. Lookin forward to that first mess of crappie too!
