Hey everyone,
First post here, hope it's in the right spot.
I recently bought a 14' Starcraft and am in the process of putting the seats back in it. (The previous owner had pulled out the front and rear, put in a deck and installed pedestal seats). The front is straight forward, but I was wondering if I could split the back bench seat into a split seat? So I'd have a seat on the left and right with a space in the middle. I would obviously brace the "ends" of both the left and right sides.
One person warned me against it as he said the seats are there to support the boat, but upon further research, it appears the middle seat is the most important in that regard?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Cory
