Help to find year of motor

I have a Mercury 4.5 hp motor and I need to kinda go through it to make sure everything is good to go before I try using it. It has sat up for 2 years in my basement and I dont want to cause any damage that I can avoid. I looked and there is a serial number on the side of the housing but other than that I didnt see anything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only tag I was able to find on the motor has this info on it.

Serial no. 6105165

Judging by this site it looks like a 1982.
