I took out a couple of friends yesterday and introduced them to the world of drag ripping Redfish. The highlight of the trip was watching my friends 5 year old son try to reel in several 10+lbs Redfish. He started with a little Zebco his dad bought the night before. Well, the first Red smoked/stripped the gears and plain out destroyed the reel. I took one of my reels and backed way off the drag for him and now he is known as the "Redfish Killa Kid". We bounced all around the marsh catching a few Reds at every stop along with a couple of big Specks that hit the Redfish lures we were throwing.
We started the day with a beautiful day break.

I'm heading over to a friends house and grlling/blackening these reds on the halfshell for the Saints game.
I only kept two big trout to experiment grilling them.
