Humminbird 678c HD DI opinions please.

I'm looking at getting the 678c for the bow and was going to put transducer on the TM. I've read reviews where people are saying it's very sensitive to the trolling motor. Anyone have an opinions or any tips to prevent this? Greatly appreciate any info and thanks in advance.

I dunno about the 678 - but the DI on my 798 works just fine mounted to the TM - positioning the wires so you get as little signal interference from the TM power wire is key. It's the side imaging that is almost pointless to mount on the TM as you're always making adjustments to the position of the TM to keep your boat traveling true - this changes the angle the SI unit is signalling the shoreline and at best distorts the image, usually it makes it totally meaningless.
