Took the jetboat out with my newly made camera deck for it's maiden voyage today. It worked out pretty good. I'm gonna have to work on something to keep the camera from turning from an impact and also need to work on sealing the water out a bit more. I flipped it almost upside down and took on quite a bit of water really fast. And yes it's on video. Now on with the pics, and then the vids when they are uploaded.

Found a nice little spot at the park.

After a while I started noticing more and more fish showing up. They must like racing the boat or something. So I figured I'd see if I could get em on camera since it is made for underwater.

Here's the first vid to be ready, not the first of the day. And I didn't even think to wear shorts and bring the flip flops. Next time they will be first on the list. Had to take off the shoes and roll up the jeans for a few rescues from the rocks. Until the vid when I flipped it, it was an emergency so I ended up with a wet pant leg and a total soaker on the right foot. Oh well, the boat still goes so I got to it just in time. It filled up fast. Anyway, on with the vid.

and I don't edit my vids so there may be some foul language or long delays while I retrieve the boat from the rocks, thanks for watchin

Here's a quick underwater video I took trying to see the fish. Only problem I've found with this camera is that it's really hard to see the screen when its in the water. But it turned out ok.

Is the last photo of a puffer fish? Puffers are pretty interesting to me. They can start out their life in freshwater, then move into brackish, then into saltwater... not to mention how aggressive they can be. 8)

Not too sure what kind it is, the signs in the park say they have varieties of salmon and trout in there.

Here's the thread that started it all for the guys I know. https://crawlcanada.com/forum/showthr...hlight=jetboat
It's an old thread so it's missing a bunch of pics. But if you search *NQD (need the * cuz you can't search for 3 letter words) or just look around the "On The Pond" section on that site you'll come up with alot of info.

This is it in a nutshell. Get yourself an NQD "Tear Into" jetboat (the name is just begging to be modded). I think we were getting them for about $50 on ebay. Rip out everything but the jetdrive unit. Then get a brushless esc and motor (also from ebay), a servo for steering, and some radio gear and your almost there. Then make a water cooling system to keep the esc and motor cool, it'll get pretty hot if your using 3s lipo as I am. Then all you need is batteries and a few minor adjustments and your ready to hit the water.

Tons of fun. I know one of the guys was using 4s lipo. FREAKING INSANE!!!
