Leaning Post for Center Console Jon Boat

I have a G3 1860CC jon boat. I'd like to make a leaning post similar to the ones that xpress puts on there aluminum bay boats. The one in the picture is what I'd like to make, except I want to weld some tube to the back deck and let the lean post slide down into it. It would be removeable. I can weld aluminum, and I think I can get the cushion of ebay, but I don't know what to do about bending the aluminum tube. I was considering getting 1.5" aluminum round tube. Anyone have any ideas, or know any fab places around Louisiana that will do it?
