so i went out the other day and bought myself a hd 5 lake insight lowrance and im close to wireing my boat.. i was wondering how everyone runs there transducer i dont have a trolling motor so this is not a option.. pic will also help.. thanks

Are you planning on getting the sideview when it comes out? if so I would get a break away mount that mounts to the transom and kicks up when it hits anything I had one on my crawdad years ago

90% of my fishing will be for flatheads so i dont think i will be getting the side image.. would i mount it on the tramsom plate right behind the prop or off to the side.. i was wondering is the prop wash will effect the transducer?

yes prop wash will affect it I am sure the instruction book shows the preferred mounting location the key is to make sure it is mounted level
