Lund Alaskan Rod Locker Mods

I'm brand new to the Tinboats Forum and looking for rod locker improvements to my Lund Alaskan 16'. The rod locker is 7' long and will hold plenty of rods, but it also holds my collapsible push pole, and a myriad of other items. I'd like to organize the locker and make it capable of holding rods and have room for other items. I'm thinking of rod tubes, but found out that if you don't use rod socks in tube storage, you run the chance of tip breakage.

Let's hear from some other Alaskan owners about your rod locker improvements and any other mods to your boats.
