my crawdad

Hi New to the site figure id share my newest project Ive convereted alot of boats over the last few years just found the site wish i found it sooner alot of great info here anywhay

well pimped out my new (to me) 1989 crawdad
first i rebuilt the trailer bearings, springs, tires exc.

then i installed the battery in the front cut a access panel so it wouldnt be on the floor ...
put in 2 rod holders
Installed a hds-8 up front
5 hp nissan ob and a bow mount trollingmotor
a rope eye (not to interfere with trollingmotor

I was perswaded to go further taking all the seat brackets and corners out to be powder coated Thanks Dave !! ..the aluminum was oxidised .. so i got the parts back today and finished the job .. I also bought new seats for it and a nice cover .. what a difference ..

ive been asked alot how i got it so clean .. I first used simple green .. then went and finished it with (new bike in a can) its a plastic cleaner for motorcycles most bike shops carry it what a difference that made !!!

Have one thing left (I think ) im going to install led strip lights for night fishing on the inside rails ..

I think you did an awesome job! One of the best crawdads I have seen...better than mine for sure. If you can make the pictures less than 800 wide you can add them here.

do you also have the structure scan???
please post some more pictures with out the hds8 so i can focus on the boat instead of the eye candy

Haha .. Thanks guys i had a bunch of spare parts for lowrance ...i run 2 hds 8 on my triton so i figured mount it up :mrgreen:

the ice is starting to thaw here in ct so hopefully get it wet
