What rod would you pair with this for surfcasting. Lets keep the rod around $50 and 9' or more?

Plan to use it for a little catfish work at the lake when not at the beach.

OK, so the reel comes in today and I picked up some powerpro 40# hi-vis 300yrd

Any recomendations on leader?

The 750 are some really good reels.... I used them down in Miami when I was chartering and they held up to the day to day rigors which included shallow water grouper, large snapper, dolphin, slob snook around the bridges, etc.... They were paired to a 7 ft. medium heavy rod 20-40 lb test, with 20-25 lb mono with a 40-60 lb leader.....
