Well I'm about to make the buy. I've allways had a pentax so my lens will fit this one. I know that there will be limitations on the older lens but at least they will work. Can't wait to see how my 500mm lens will work on a digital, they told me that it will be like a 800mm. My other hobbie is astronomy so it will come in handy there to.

I'll post a review and some pic as well later.

Sounds like a nice camera, let me know how things work out. I just took my Canon rebel back. it turned out to be a peice of crap.

Got it yesterday and very smooth.
has all the best features 10.4mega pixils
very easy to use lots of menus but they are easy to navagate.
the camera is very light but seems like it can take everyday use.
the lens and camera are weather restant and can take a little rain
the battery life is said to be 1000 pic on a set of 4 with no flash.
it has a auto flash that pops up when need automaticaly

as I mention I have a few older Pentax K mount lens and they all work well. It lets me use them in a semi-auto mode that is I set the F stop and it will pick the shutter speed.

the ISO range is 100 to 1600 wich gives you lot of latitude for creativity.

I have not mastered the art of uploading large photos yet so it will be awhile till I get some photos for you to see

I want to try some astro photos and have a friend who can help get them online.
