LOL after a couple of seasons of trying to maintain the shine,
you will be back here asking what primer and paint to use over a shiny surface LOL
Aluminum is basically the same. . . Whether it be a McDonald-Douglas DC-10 aircraft,
pontoon boat or Airstream Camper... . check out YouTube about polishing metals
and what tools and compounds to use.
Depends on your budget and free time as to the degree of "shine" you want to achieve.
a quick search turned up this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVRzG5tp7B0

Enjoy !!!
I just removed all the vinyl striping and boat name from my 1648 that the P/O put on
plus some factor ones that have been on since 1988.
I would like to keep it shiny, but, I know from past experience just how much WORK it takes
to maintain the shine. Unless you clear coat it with automotive clear.
And just like the clear coat on a car, it too must be maintained.
Washing, waxing, washing, waxing yada yada yada
