Hey everyone. I have an old 10hp Chrysler Sailor 250 outboard that I recently I blew up the rectifier on. After doing LOADS of research online I came to the conclusion that instead of paying lots of money on a factory replacement, I bought a 25A, 50V Full-Wave Bridge Rectifier from Radio Shackfor about $3.50. That's a HUGE savings! I installed everything last night and it was a total breeze. Other motors will be different but on my old Chrysler it was a simple swap. This weekend when I have some free time I'm going to double check to make sure all of the power is correct but so far it's working great. Below are some pics of the process.

Old Rectifier still on motor:
Old rectifier removed. You can see the markings for positive, negative & the 2 ac tabs:
Comparison of the old rectifier next to teh new RS rectifier:
After removing the old wire connectors I replaced them with female spade connectors to fit the new rectifier:
All plugged in & hooked up:
