I am replacing some of the rivets in the bottom of my Starcraft Seafarer 16 with closed end pop rivets. The ones I bought are 1/2" long from the flange to the end of the shaft. This is leaving 1/4" plus sticking up after they are installed.
If the rivet is too long do I get less expansion?
I know the extra length will suck for my feet, but does it affect how well sealed the hull will be?
