I row my 12' Sea King "V" for Exercise and the quiet peacefulness of gliding quietly and smoothly over the water.
Nothing wrong with motors, I have three boats with motors, and three extra motors that work and some project motors I may live long enough to finish.
I made a "rolling Rowing seat" for my boat. I can slide to the front or back to grab things and when I get the chance to embarrass a guy with a Three Hp or electric, I can get two feet more to each stroke with this Rolling seat.
I put a couple 'temporary' oar locks in the boat just to see if it would row straighter if I moved my overlarge butt toward the back of the boat.
As it is, if I'm not concentrating, it rows like some grandmother shopping at WalMart. Willynilly!
They work! And it does Row straighter if I'm in the Back of the boat.
Here's my office, when I'm hard at work.
And here's those "Temp" oar lock sockets. PS: I need some ring type Oar locks if anybody has a set lying around for me
