This is my first mod. Please let me know what you guys think. Turned out pretty good, but still making changes to the trolling motor mount.

Looks good.
I have never been a fan of foot controlled trolling motors. Even on big boats. I like using my hands.

Thanks for the reply! Yes this is my first foot controller. I like it... its just the cable isn't long enough when I pull it up. I am gonna have to move it to fit the resessed pedal holder. That was the only thing that hasn't worked out but should be a easy fix. Sure does take a lot to get used to that thing. First time I almost kicked myself off the boat like 4 times.

I like what ya did, and being I am new sitting here in Ytown up north of you, maybe you can help. Haven't decided yet whether I will buy a 1436 or a 1542 but what is that live well opening in the center seat? Does the live well itself extend inside farther than the opening? What is the distance from the edge of the live well to the side of the boat? I am thinking if I buy a 1542, that I can put side by side pedestal seats on either side of that live well. Any help is appreciated as I sit here in the snow and do planning. Thanks

It is a live well and its extends down and that's it. The width it pretty much the size of the live well door. I would go with the larger boat for for the sheer fact of beam distance. It seems a lot more stable than the 14 footer. I would think about making a front deck and putting a pedestal seat on that and one on the back bench. Side by side wouldn't be enough room or stable enough. What is your game plan so far? I have better pictures if you need something in more deail. I love this boat and it turned out a lot better than I thought. I am upgrading the front deck to have storage underneath and a front seat so its not as bad driving the boat. Thanks for the reply I am willing to assist as much as yea need.

Thanks Ctown. How wide is the live well opening? If I go with the 1542 do you know if it will fit on one of those Harbor Freight Trailers? I know they are designed for 14 foot, but I have buddies that are great at welding. Hehe
