Transducer and paddle wheel mount locations

So I know I mounted my transducer paddle wheel too close to the outboard but before I make another attempt I was wondering if it was worth moving. My transducer gets a bunch of back wash from motor so it's useless unless I'm sitting still. Speed Senor I newly mounted and it has no consistency. How far to the right should I mount the transducer and can I mount the speed sensor to the far left? Here's a pic of where they are now. I chose the location because the of contours of the back of the boat. Can I mount them where the red circles are? Thanks ahead of time. It's a 12ft sears.

Location on the Starboard side would be my preference for both Ducer and paddle wheel.
