I need quick help. For those that have followed the Rhyan Craft build, I have an older model bow mount Motor Guide Pro Series 46# trolling motor. Questions:

1. Can anyone find the amperage on this thing? (I tried googling and came up empty)
2. My trolling motor plug comes with 10awg wire connectors. Once someone finds the amp draw, can I run 6 ft of 10awg wire without buring up the wires?

I'm running out of time on this thing. Gotta be done on Thursday!!! :x

all them plugs seem to be 10 ga for some odd reason. I would say 6ft without burning wiring wouldnt be a problem, I cant imagine it draws much over 30 if 30 at all..

Brine, you should be good to go with the #10

Here is a link to a post I made in another thread that includes a link to wire size and length. Hopefully this will help you

Anytime I've ever googled this same question,I get the... 1 amp per pound thrust at WOT.
Havn't googled it in awhile maybe theres a newer theory.
I have a 55lbs thrust with a 50 amp breaker,never tripped it...ever.
6 gauge wire,battery in stern,on a 16'boat.
