I bought a boat that had the trolling motor bat. up front and I moved it to the rear when I got it but my question is when I run it it runs for a while then it shuts of. Could I have my breaker to close to the bat. or is one of my conection's bad?? Any help would be great!

You moved the battery to the stern?
Could be acouple things both related.
Is the trolling motor still in the bow?
If so...
What size wire did you run to the trolling motor?
Could be that it's drawing to much current and tripping your breaker if the wires are to small.
If you don't run your trolling motor at full speed does it last longer?
The breaker is probably working, bad connections could also be a problem though.
How bigs your boat, what size trolling motor?
This will help us tell what size wire to use.
Did the trolling motor work when it was in the bow?
Guess thats enough questions..sorry
Forgot to add...my breakers right on my battery post...on the positive side.

I have it on the bow and I did use 8 gauge and it is a motor guide 30 on a bass tracker pro 16. I did not try it on a lowere setting.

Try running the trolling motor w/ the battery closer,if it still dies it could be either a internal motor problem(such as brushes, motor, internal wirirng problems) or could be a weak cell in your battery.
