Trolling motors - HP vs Thrust

What would be better... 2 55lb thrust, or 1 - 24v 3hp

I don't know the difference in them, but have a chance to get one..

I would probably stay away from that 3 hp electric. I have heard those to be brutal on battery consumption, and not be the most efficient. Personally, I would opt for a newer 80 pound 24 volt in your case. Close to the speed of the 2 55s, with much better battery consumption.
