Since this is my first boat, not all things are immediately obvious to me. Can anyone please tell me what the aluminum bracket that is welded to the transom below the handle and to the right of the transducer. There is one on the left side as well.

How you see it is how I bought it. I have'nt even put it in the water yet. Lol. if I remove any screws from the transom, what would be the proper way to seal any holes?

Sorry, should have left the LOL off I guess. :-(

I'd use the proper sized SS screws & washers & nylock nuts w/ 3M 5200.
Howabout a pic of the whole rig? I love looking at boats. ;-)

That's either for an anode or GPS/Fish Finder.
THIS
He said there is a corresponding one on the other side.
I read that. I wouldn't put wheels on a setup like that. Theres nothing wrong with 2 anodes or 1 anode and 1 transducer or nothing on them. Im pretty they were meant for transducer and anode. Not the first time ive seen them and not the first time ive seen 2.

funny.... I wouldn't put wheels on any boat. :p

except maybe one of these....
