Will this setup work for a negative bus?

Should work but you may get some interference on a FF if it's wired in to that buss.

Fish finder will not be wired in on this buss.

yes will work, however I would solder wires to spade connectors. Being on boat is harsh environment for electronics corrosion is guaranteed at weakest point which is connections.

i agree with soldering the spade connections, a little corrosion down the road will make you want to beat your head against the wall trying to trace the problem.

You may also want to tin/solder the end of the negative lead.
