Gotcha! Totally misread your question. Sorry, LOL....I like the Atwood brand horizontal rod racks. Walmart has them for like $15. They have a velcro strap that keeps them secure. I know a bunch of guys who also have them and they like them a lot.
Yes there is a lot of different types of rod holders. I personally like and use the flush mount 30 degree rod holders. I have them on my front and back decks port and starboard sides. Easy to install, functional and are not in the way. They also look the best IMO. Cabelas has them for...
Nice looking rig ya got there. Congrats! That slot shaped opening looks like its there to accommodate the ends of your fishing rods if you were to mount rod holders to the gunnels there on the port side. I will definitely be following your build. :WELCOME: to tinboats!
Guest makes a great on board charger. You can pick up a new one from cabelas or BPS for $150. Or probably get one used on CL or eBay. The power outlet you can get at any marine shop or online for around $23.
You should go with two batteries like Capt. said. Definitely nice to switch out if need be. Also go with the variable speed trolling motor. You will be a lot happier with that choice. You can control and manipulate your desired speed unlike a standard 5 speed.
Got the holes from the pitting sanded down and patched with jb waterweld. I just gotta sand them down. After I sand I don't want to have a bunch of white patched circles every where. I was thinking just primer over it and get some paint to match the OD green of the boat. May not look great but...
I would go with the V. They are nice classic fishing boats. Definitely a lot of ideas on here for either that you choose. As long as you don't build the decks to high, you should be ok especially if it is only you on the boat. Good luck with your choice and build!
