27 Gallons per minute is not going to do a whole lot when you have a swamped boat. You can move closer to a 100 gallons per minute with a 5 gallon pail if you are really motivated. Sam

If it is really sluggish you might also want to check the compression on the engine. sam

My dad has an old Meyers and I think the drain plug is in the bottom and looks like the one shown in your pics. I will look at it this weekend and post what I find. That scoop would be to help the boat drain while under way. It creates suction to pull the water out. sam

I am replacing some of the rivets in the bottom of my Starcraft Seafarer 16 with closed end pop rivets. The ones I bought are 1/2" long from the flange to the end of the shaft. This is leaving 1/4" plus sticking up after they are installed. If the rivet is too long do I get less expansion...

I would second that the wire looks very small for a TM application. Bigger wire, better connection and a fuse or breaker should keep you safe. Sam
