    Sylvan sea monster

I am looking into a Sylvan Sea Monster 16 and cannot find any information about this hull. From what I can find it looks to be a bigger than my starcraft sea farer 16. If anyone has some info or experience with these hulls it would be great to hear about it. Intended use is nearshore...

Too much for a 16' seafarer

I just picked up a Honda 50 for short money. One thought for this engine is to put it on my 16' starcraft seafarer. Has anyone put this much power on a 16 seafarer? This engine is also about 100lbs heavier than the current 40hp tohatsu. I am not sure how much of a concern this will be as I...

    New toys for the boat!

27 Gallons per minute is not going to do a whole lot when you have a swamped boat. You can move closer to a 100 gallons per minute with a 5 gallon pail if you are really motivated. Sam

    New hull question

I am starting to think that it might be best to pick up a brand new hull instead of spending more time messing around with my leaking starcraft that I have made 5 or 6 attempts to seal up with little luck. Besides the fact that the redoing a large majority of the rivets in the boat is a huge...

Little Help Needed Identifying Attachments on Boat

My dad has an old Meyers and I think the drain plug is in the bottom and looks like the one shown in your pics. I will look at it this weekend and post what I find. That scoop would be to help the boat drain while under way. It creates suction to pull the water out. sam

Little Help Needed Identifying Attachments on Boat

The second one may be an anchor for remote steering. I am saying this more based on location than on the appearance of the part. Sam

    Homemade Outriggers?

Look into the extendable paint poles. I am not sure how long they get, but I have seen them used for that purpose. Sam

    16 Starcraft Seafarer -

Well after fishing trips and only very little work done since I started this thread it is time to actually put some work into the boat. The one thing I did try was to buck my leaky rivets which was not very successful. As a result I have decide to replace the leaky rivets with closed end blind...

    Rivet length

I am replacing some of the rivets in the bottom of my Starcraft Seafarer 16 with closed end pop rivets. The ones I bought are 1/2" long from the flange to the end of the shaft. This is leaving 1/4" plus sticking up after they are installed. If the rivet is too long do I get less expansion...

Starcraft 16 seafarer - rivet size

I need to replace some of the rivets in my Starcraft 16 Seafarer. Does anyone know what size rivets that boat requires? Does anyone dip their rivets in 5200 or some other sealer before installing them? Thanks, Sam

JetJon Conversion - SeaDoo SP into 1236 Fisher

Nice job on the conversion. I have been wanting to do one of these for a while and its always great to see threads like this. I would recomend against using the egg crate foam at all. As someone who quiets boats for a living I consider myself somehwat fo an expert on the subject. With a...

    14' Starcraft Seafarer Build

I spent much of my early days on the water in that same boat. The engines it had during my time the same 9.5 and the next body style of 18hp 'Rude. Great boat and nice work on the project. Sam

    Need some help on this

I would second that the wire looks very small for a TM application. Bigger wire, better connection and a fuse or breaker should keep you safe. Sam
