Hey everyone. I've been a longtime lurker on this site and learned more than I ever could have imagined about small aluminum boats while working on my 1964 Glaspar Galaxy semi-v. My wife got me a 1436 Tracker Topper for my birthday this year, so I've spent the last month making some mods to it. At this point, it's fishable and I don't have many more plans. I need to install the pedestal seat on the casting deck, along with some rod holders and cup holders. I'm also thinking about decking the rear bench as well for a little more standing room while fishing.

Overall, the boat is plenty stable for how I fish, and I haven't had any issues standing on the elevated casting deck. I fish larger lakes in Georgia, but tend to stick to smaller creek channels. Let me know what y'all think.

She's definitely a keeper! She has no interest in fishing, but she's still supportive when I spend hours in the garage and a day on the lake, just to catch a bass and put it back in the water.

Fantastic Job! =D>

I too just picked up the same boat back in October. Live in Mass where there still is 2 feet of snow on ground!! So, as soon as it warms up & ice melts. I'll be working on mine! Did try mine out before the winter came. Stood on the middle seat to check for stability. How does yours feel with the deck? My last boat was a crawdad which I would stand in all the time, took some balance but it was possible.

I am not jealous of all that snow y'all have up there! I actually haven't had much trouble with the stability of the deck. You definitely need to pay attention while you are up there if someone else is in the boat (or if the dog sees a duck swimming), but it's nothing extreme. I think it will be even better once I get my pedestal seat mounted on the casting deck so I'll have something to lean against. Best of luck with your build!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I will post some more pics once I finish getting this pedestal seat mounted.

Nice job. Where did you get the pull tabs for you hatches?
Thank you! I actually just cut some nylon webbing and attached it to the bottom of the hatches. It was cheap and has been working great so far.
