Well this is my second time posting here. First was a boat I had for a week and then decided it was too small for my liking. So I have sold that one and am now onto my new project. It's a mid 50's to early 60's Richline I think. My plan is to gut the whole thing and and a floor and side storage for fishing gear. Forgot to take before pics so I only have ones of my progress so far.

This is the back half of the transom wood being removed the wood. Glad I decided to because the back of the wood was covered in mold.

Nice boat! I also have a 16 foot richline, a 1958. Check out the Yahoo groups page if you haven't already. You have a nice blank canvas to work with. Will be following-

Alright well I have the boat fully taken apart and I'm ready to start prepping for paint there isn't any paint on the boat but the aluminum is dirty. How would I go about cleaning this to start painting?

I was going to paint the inside out I decided against it since I will have the inside covered mostly with carpet and wood.

LOL Slayer !! I know what you mean about having a boat
for a week to find out it's not going to work for you !!

I bought my wife a 1032 G3 just because it would fit in
the back of our Jeep Cherokee. We found out on the first
(and only) trip that it was dangerous as all get out.

sold it 3 days later for a profit. Lesson learned off of that one !!

hope you have good luck on your new find !!!
