1981 Johnson 9.9

I just got done upgrading my boat this winter to a very very fish able mirrocraft but my problem is my 9.9 gets on plane but with no one sitting in the bow seat so I want to upgrade my motor to a 15 hp.. So far what I have read is I just need a carb but have no idea. please help me out..

I can't say for sure but some engines are a simple carb upgrade, while others require almost a complete power head swap.

i dont think a bigger carb is going to give you the power you need even if it would bolt up
