25 Hp Johnson 2 stk?

I’m looking at a boat and motor on CL. It has a 1999 2stk Johnson that has spent its life in a small HOA pond. So most of it at trolling speed. The maintenance guy description is that it idles fine but bogs down when you give it gas. So, I’m not sure what questions I should be asking about this motor, or if considering its history i should consider it? Any help from the motor savvy would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like to me the high speed needle jet on the carb is blocked or just dirty. I could be wrong! But if the money is right it could be worth a carburetor kit.

I wouldn’t be afraid. These are very good motors. Probably just needs a carb cleaning.
