Alumacraft 1648 vs Tracker 1648

I am in the market for a new boat and want to get som opinions on Alumacraft vs Tracker. I will be getting a 1648 welded mod v for duck hunting and fishing and rigging it with a 30hp 4 stroke.

I can get the Alumacraft and trailer new for about $800 less than the Tracker. Why is there such a price difference? From what I can tell they are very similar boats.

Any opinions one way or another?

Get the Alumacraft, even at the same price.

I don't think Trackers are all welded or use as thick of aluminum as Alumacraft but I could be wrong.

Per their websites Alumacraft makes only riveted 1648s (they do have a welded 1650) and Tracker doesn't make a riveted 1648 (only welded).
Having said that I have had an Alumacraft 1648 for 3 years and have been very happy with it.
