how thick should the aluminum flooring be - I would like use aluminum instead of plywood for the floor in my 1436 jon
 
Just remember, if you use thinner gauge aluminum you will need extra frame work and bracing. Just something to keep in mind.
 
Sorry I misread your post. You said floor and I was thinking deck. #-o I need more coffee.

to your point, going thinner even on a floor also means more dings, dimples, rips, and tears when it gets impacted or stepped on in the wrong way. id never use anything thinner than .080, and even that im not totally comfortable with. it has a little bit to do with the alloy as well.
