Aluminum Jon Boat Welding

Anyone ever had a tear or hole in an aluminum jon boat and tried to repair it themselves? I have heard of Alumiweld that uses flux and works well but have not heard of anyone using it on an aluminum boat. I have a small hole in the bottom of my boat from wear against the trailer rubber roller. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Get it tig welded

Unless you get it done right you better invest in a badass bilge pump!

Yeah, Mig or Tig weld it back together. The gimmicky stuff usually doesn't work out well.

You can even glob on some 3M 5200 as a temporary fix.

I got some stuff at the state fair that's for aluminum and use a propane torch to apply! Works great no problems repairing myself.
