I have searched the internet via pictures and websites, and can find virtually no information on this boat. I got a hold of the manufacturer, and all they could help me with is the original brochure page from the late 80's. Has anybody ever heard of these boats or seen one? It is a 1989 Hewescraft King Runner.

Looks like the boats they salmon fish in.

You can find info on iboats.com. Hewescraft boats are well regarded in the Pacific Northwest and one of the most popular here in Alaska, in part because of rugged construction and built-in flotation foam.

I found some basic info about the boat, but nothing I other than what was on the brochure cover. I looked at a 21 foot River runner last year, but that is just a lot of boat for our purposes. We bought this one down in Palmer/Wasilla. Has a 35 prop, so I am guessing they used to use it on the Kenai. Pulled the floorboards out today and it looks like they will be getting replaced. Anyone have any tips for bending a piece of 3/8" marine plywood?

I think marine you have to rabbit. Doesn't steam well. Mainly due to the cross grain layers and waterproof glue.

I guess it wouldn't be a problem. There are ribs every 8 inches under it, and it will be covered with vinyl, so kerfs wouldn't show. It isn't much of a bend though. Maybe a couple of degrees. How rigid is marine ply? Can you horse slight bends into it? couple of degrees over a couple of feet?
