Beginning to think I have a grounded wire somewhere in the boat, battery keeps losing charge.
Added some water & put it on charge.
Its gurgling & hissing and some of the water is bubbling out the caps
Is this normal?
Did I just add too much water?
Or is this battery shot?

NO CARL F YOUR BATTERY HAS SHORTED IN SIDE IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON BOAT BATTERY BEACUSE OF THE VIBARATION IT PROBABLY HAS BROKE ONE OF THE PLATES IN SIDE THE ONLY WAY TO NO FOR SURE IS TEST IT WITH A HYDROMETER IT WELL TELL YOU WHICH CELL IS BAD I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I RUN A PARTS STORE FOR 28 YEARS GOOD LUCK

That is what I was thinking.
It was on the charger overnight and was still drawing 4 amps on the meter when I went outside to check it this morning.
This sucks, I have a lot of other stuff I need to get fixed and buy before duck season, this was not one of them. May have to make do with charging it every night before hunting for now.
