I am putting in new bearings and races in a old trailer hub. Should I clean new races and put them in clean, or coat with grease on the outside, or coat the outside with anti seize, or leave the oil coating from the factory on the race?

If it was me I'd put them in clean so that it would reduce the chance of dirt or grit.

I wouldn't put antiseize in there because I'm not sure if it would react with the grease or not. Might be completely harmless but I don't know. Someone else might know.

I don't think the grease would hurt, but I just tap them in. I never had trouble knocking out the races, but I replace them every year or two.
