What is the best plug for a 1975 evinrude 15 hp outboard?

Brand wise...NGK imho.

with a 15 i don't think it really matters,you will swap it out at the end of the season anyway.

Original plug is a Champion LJ7. That's been replaced by UL81C these days. But the best plug for YOU might be one heat range hotter if you troll all day or one colder if you run mostly wide open. The factory uses the best "all around" choice.
