Well, after thinking about building a boat cover support frame made from pvc, I may have another alternative. Across the street (kinda catty-corner) from my house is one of those storage unit thingees. It's been there for about 5 yrs and I never took the time to notice the advertised sizes of the units. I read the sign the other day and they have 10'x20' bays! That would be perfect for my rig, as I only need about 19'6" to fit it in there. The people that own the storage unit live over the hill from us somewhere (we don't personnaly know them), so my wife called the number on the sign and asked about prices. A 10'x20' bay runs $55 a month, but they won't have one availble unitl possibly the end of the month.
I told my wife that would eliminate me having to worry about snow-fall, winds, etc. messing with a boat cover, and it wouldn't leave a bare spot in the yard where I park it during the winter. All I need to do is remove the batts and keep them in my garage so that I can charge them over the winter. I would probably only need the storage bay until about the end of March.
Don't know why I didn't think of it sooner #-o
