Me and a fella hit Lake Sinclair Friday and did pretty good, I had 4 in the boat that went about 5lbs. I did want to share this little guy with you. I've never seen a fish with a defect like this in it's tail. It was kinda weird.

He was, the guy I was fishing with kept everthing we caught. I generally don't keep fish, but he was keeping them for his father-in-law.
 
I've seen fish like that before.. usually they are hit by a bird, turtle, or some other big fish when they were smaller

Never heard of it... looks like I'll be spending some time on wiki now
 
Interesting for sure. No mention of it affecting Bass, so I would have to assume it was hit that way. What was that red spot under the fin? Site of injury maybe?
