Finally got the boat on the water this morning at Lake Pee Wee (360 acres) which is 1.5 miles from the house. I wanted to fish the area along the dam that has been off-limits since 9/11, and they recently removed the ban. Launched about 0645 and it was kinda foggy, but the water was calm all day. I didn't get one bite the entire 3.5 hrs I was out there. Only one other boat out there and they weren't catching anything either. The weather did turn-out nice after the fog burned-off. I had plenty of time and took some pics with my phone while I was out there
Fog at 0715, sun coming over the tree tops:
Took this one at 0828 while headed across the lake to some 12' water: Ducks.
Some shoreline at 0847
Tried a number of plastics and hard baits:
- JDBaits Smoked Salt & Pepper with blk/blue flake
- Rage Tail Craw (summer craw color)
- Basssnacks Shakit Worm (Watermelon)
- Tiki Stick (Smoked Shad)
- Culprit 10" worm (Craw color)
- Off-brand 3/16oz White spinner bait
- Strike King 1/4oz Black & Blue spinner bait w/rattle
- Cordell-Cotton Gold w/black back "rattle-trap"
