My dad being an avid Northern Pike fisherman was called by a guy that had pond on his farm where a northern kept eating his ducks. My dad went out there for a couple of days scouting the area and watching the ducks. Sure enough, one day he saw a disturbance under a group of ducks and a little duckling went under and was gone. The next day he went back and set out to catch the duck killer. Eventually he caught it and when he landed it he measured and weighed it. It was huge, it was 53 inches long.
