A friend and I hit the water today and fished from 7am - 3pm, we put 54 bass in the boat with 20 of them being 4lbs or better. Most of the fish were taken on a Carolina rigged Yum Dinger or deep diving Norman crankbaits. I did manage to catch two on swimbaits. Great day on the lake, now I get to spend the next four days trout fishing with my girls.

The weather was overcast and raining, temp was in the high 60's, and we had a light wind out of the NW.

That is some great stuff - the fish here seem to have lock-jaw. I go almost everyday (or night) and have not managed much.

Glad to see you have it going on

Thats an awesome day =D> Is this the best day you ever had?

A few years back we pulled over a hundred bass off of this spot, that was the best day so far. It's a small hump on the lake bottom in 17' of water, the top of the hump comes up to 11'. It's a great spot until the surrounding weeds die off in mid July.

Great catch

What color cranks where you using :?:

Mountain Doo and Fire Tiger, but I really don't think the color would have made much of a difference. The key was getting them to dig in to the lake bottom. The cranks are DD22's that are suppose to dive 15'-18'.

It was a great day for sure. That spot doesn't produce like that all the time, but when it does it makes for a great time.
