Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting a 17 foot lowe commander, unsure of the year. A lowe catalog has the hull at .072 for a 84. That seems really thin. Is that the the thickness by chance from someone who has one? I used to have a tracker grizzly, loved the boat but sold it, wish I'd kept it now. I know the lowe cant keep up the tracker but wasnt sure if the lowe maybe was thicker than .072. Thanks!

What will you use it for? If you are shooting rapids, then .07 is too thin. But I think it is ok for average use. The reinforcing ribs do most of the work anyway. Lowe is a good brand, have sold a lot of boats.

Mostly lake fishing but could be running in flooded timber to duck hunt.
