anyone ever put a hydrofoil on a 9.9 johnson? If so did it help? my problem is i add to much weight for my boat changed props and it helped drastically. but now still makes alot of wake and planes but takes a while..

I have a Doel-Fin on my '93 johnson 9.9. It made a huge difference. Gets up quicker and stopped the "porpoising". I recommend it. There are a few different brands out there and I guess they will all work O.K.
