Is 15 H.P. worth an up grade

I currently have a 60 h.p. mercury on my boat.
I see a similar year mercury 75 for sale locally for a decent price

Is 15 h.p. worth the trouble?

For the record my motor has a broken skeg and I think it has a squeaky lower unit bearing. So that is going to be factored in as well.

More power is ALWAYS better, to a point anyway...

If there are no outside factors like HP limited lakes, max HP limits of boat etc I would go for it if you have the money. You could sell your old motor and make back some of the money.

Max for the boat is 90.

No H.P. restrictions that I know of.

I would see what the weight difference is between the two motors. If it isn't that much than go for it.
