Jim Edgar State Fish and Wildlife area is located in central Il. It is a man made lake with Large mouth bass, catfish, bluegill. here is a link to the site https://www.dnr.state.il.us/lands/landmgt/parks/r4/jepc.htm this is about 15 minutes from my house. I went Catfishing last night with a buddy and he caught 1 cat I caught none . Taking the family there tonight to fish top water and catfish. I will let you know what we catch.

Well it did not turn out the way I had hoped. We caught 0 catfish. The blue gill are thick and my daughter knocked the heck out of them on nightcrawlers. The lake is beautifull. There are cabins to rent, nice boat launches and fish cleaning stations. There is a lot of structure for bass and the lake is deep. We could hear and see the fish jumping but we could not catch anything of size. Sorry for a failed report.
