just got a 14 ft starcraft and have a question

hey everybody,
i just bought a nice 1 owner 14 ft aluminum starcraft. I,am going to replace the transom wood so I removed the i.d. tag, its very faded and if the hull I.D. number wasnt stamped absolutely nothing would be readable. wonder if I sent starcraft my old I.D. plate if they would make me a new one ?

HI BC. Cool new toy. You can actually find Starraft badges online at various sites including ebay. There's a great forum over at iboats.com dedicated to Starcrafts too. Looks like you're running late '60s Johnson 18-20hp as well. I run a '66 20hp myself on a nearly identical hull and it pushes me along nicely at about 20mph. actually the engine is a 1963, QD-24M 10 hp. wish it was a 20...... I have a 25 evinrude I,am redoing for the boat now. its been great fun so far in the tin boats. I really wanted a alumacraft but when I found this starcraft I couldnt pass on it.
